In one of His deeply insightful satsangs, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb Ji lovingly explained that no matter how far we advance in life, how much progress we make, how much success or respect we gain, the most important thing is to continue nurturing our inner goodness
Our purpose should be to preserve the same purity of thought with which we begin any noble work or righteous endeavor. It should never happen that we start something with sincerity and good intent, and later forget that very intention, drifting into wrong actions. The more success and recognition we receive through our good deeds, the more humble, sincere, and pure we should remain. We must never let greed or temptation turn our thoughts away from the right path. When we start something new, a home, a business, a shop, an office, or any new venture, we should consciously write down and remind ourselves that we are beginning this with the intention of betterment, of doing good, and of serving others. We should decide what noble acts we will perform through it and make a firm resolve to uphold that goodness throughout. With time, we must keep revisiting that resolve, for it keeps our direction steady and our spirit clear.
The more we remember and act upon the pure intention with which we begin any task, the more success we attract without losing our way. The fruits of good thought always blossom in their own time. But if we forget our vow of goodness and act in contradiction to it, we will inevitably face obstacles or loss, for the purity that blessed our beginning loses its strength when neglected.
Similarly, Sai Ji explained, when we help someone in distress and that person misuses our kindness, and later comes again seeking help, we should not repeat that mistake. Compassion should always be accompanied by discernment.
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb Ji beautifully explained that just as we begin our work with the blessings of our Satguru, making a vow to remain on the path of goodness and righteousness, it is this very vow that draws divine blessings into our life and strengthens our destiny. But when we forget our vow, we lose that divine grace, and our progress too begins to fade.
Saijan further explained that the first step we take in life holds immense power, for it determines the direction of our journey. Therefore, we must always be conscious of that first step and the intention behind it.
For instance, when we buy a new car, we first perform a puja and share sweets with joy. This is not merely a ritual, it is our way of dedicating that car to good purposes. It signifies that we will use it for noble deeds, for taking our family to sacred places, for visiting temples or the Dham of our Satguru Sai, to seek His blessings and to progress on the right path. We never imagine using it for wrong purposes.
If we write down and remember that this car was bought with a good intention, then that very intention becomes our protection. As long as we keep our vow pure, neither the car nor we will face harm. But if we act against that vow, what began as an auspicious beginning can quickly turn into misfortune.
Sai Jan further explained that when we come to the Dham of our Satguru Sai, when we attend or listen to satsang, engage in seva, or immerse ourselves in meditation and simran, it is not merely an act of devotion, it is our declaration to become better human beings.
By remembering Satguru Sai, we renew our vow to live thoughtfully, to remain devoted to goodness, and to lead a life guided by awareness and humility.
Nature has never been unjust to anyone. When our actions are right, the results too will be right. When our efforts are pure, honour and grace naturally follow.
Whatever we receive in life is a reflection of what we have sown. Everything depends upon how we act, think, and live. No one else is responsible for what happens to us, we must look within and understand that every experience is linked to our own karmas. We alone are the creators of our destiny.
