Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb Ji, in one of His very inspiring Satsangs, explained that when a person, in the pride of wealth, youth, or strength, commits mistakes, those very mistakes later become a burden for him during his days of weakness.
To use our wisdom in the right way, it is necessary to remain thankful for whatever we have. That is why the SSD Shukrana Samaroh is observed.
Saijan said that if we observe the routine of our lives, we will notice that many times such moments arise when we ask someone for help. Help can be of any kind, it may be financial, material, emotional, or even in the form of someone’s kind grace.
When someone helps us, we thank them. But if we do not express gratitude to the one who helps us, then the next time we need help, we may feel embarrassed to ask again, and the one who helped earlier may also hesitate or refuse to help.
Similarly, when we borrow something or take money from someone and fix a day to return it, if the borrower returns it on time, the giver does not hesitate to help again in the future. But if the borrowed item is not returned on time, and the giver has to repeatedly remind the borrower to return it, then the giver will not feel willing to lend anything again.
In the same way, gratitude works. When we ask something from our Satguru or from God, and after receiving it we express our thanks, either by organizing a program in gratitude or by visiting the temple to offer our thanks, more happiness comes into our lives. But if, after receiving what we asked for, we forget the One who gave it, then it becomes difficult for those blessings and joys to return to us again.
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb Ji said that when a person, in the pride of his strength, leaves the path of goodness and does wrong, and does not use his power wisely, his own strength distances him from right thinking. As a result, difficulties begin to surround him.
To preserve our strength and our good fortune, the way is to remain thankful to our Satguru and to God — and this is the way of Nem Saheb.
In the morning Nem Saheb, we ask our Satguru for peace and happiness; and in the evening Nem Saheb, we thank our Satguru or God for the happiness that has been given to us.
If you sit regularly in Nem Saheb every morning and evening, you will always remain content and happy. Make Nem Saheb a part of your life.
If your intentions are pure, your love will be sincere; if your intentions are corrupt, your love will be superficial or selfish.
As you sow, so shall you reap.
