In one of his deeply moving and wisdom filled Satsangs, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb lovingly explained that when we place our unwavering faith in our Satguru, spend time in the sacred atmosphere of the temple, and engage in seva and heartfelt prayers, a divine armor forms around us an armor of blessings. This spiritual armor shields us from the storms of life. Slowly, our difficulties begin to melt away, and the path forward becomes clear and peaceful.
Sai Sadhram Saheb also taught a profound truth: If we wish to stay healthy, we should reach out to help those who are unwell. In doing so, we become vessels of healing and, in return, receive healing ourselves. If we desire that our children grow in knowledge and flourish in life, we should support the education of children less fortunate than ours. When we uplift others, we witness our own children rise and succeed as well.
Whenever we face pain or hardship, and we sincerely help someone going through a similar struggle, trying to ease their burden, a miraculous transformation happens, we too begin to rise out of our own suffering. This is not just philosophy it is Nature’s law.
Inside the temple, every act is a form of selfless service. Some people chant the name of the Lord, others recite scriptures, prepare prasad, arrange footwear, organize community meals (bhandaras), sing bhajans, or take care of other essential tasks. These acts, though seemingly simple, are powerful they connect us with each other and with the Divine. Seva becomes a sacred thread that ties every soul to the temple’s living spirit.
From the temple, people receive not just food or clothes, but love, support, values, and divine guidance. And all this flows with the abundant grace of the Divine. That is why Sai Sadhram Saheb emphasized: No matter how much we donate, it is vital that we visit the temple ourselves.
Our personal presence in the temple is far more important than just offering donations. By being physically present, we absorb the temple’s sanctity, the blessings of saints, the purity of the atmosphere, and the strength of divine energies.
We must remember, that We earn money, money does not earn us. Our presence is more meaningful than anything money can provide. Money, status, or titles are things we possess but they do not define us. When we give all our attention to wealth or power, we lose touch with who we truly are. We forget that our existence gives meaning to these external things not the other way around.
That is why it’s essential to recognize our own value, to know that our life has purpose beyond material success. By visiting the temple, we reaffirm this truth. As we nurture our values there, our children observe and follow. And when they begin to walk the same path, generation after generation, the roots of our culture and spirituality grow deeper and stronger.
Such values help our children understand their true worth, and when they realize this, they naturally attract success, wealth, and joy not just for themselves but for society at large.
True understanding of the importance of building a temple reveals that it is a way to wrap our lives in the divine armor of blessings, ensuring inner peace and outer progress.
That is why we must not lose ourselves in the race for material gain. Instead, we must honor our own presence, walk the path of truth, service, and devotion, and help shape a better future.
Because ultimately, building a temple is akin to shaping one’s own life brick by brick, with faith, service, and the unwavering armor of blessings that flows from grace.
