During a profound Satsang held on the blessed Thursday of Naam Daan, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb shared a captivating tale.

He recounted how a king, in disguise, visited a bustling local market where people engaged in various activities such as buying, selling, and conversing. Amidst this hustle and bustle, there was a faqeer who strolled through the market without glancing at anyone or acknowledging the activities around him, appearing completely unfazed by his surroundings.

The king was deeply intrigued by the faqeer’s demeanor. He found it astonishing that someone could maintain such a serene and unaffected attitude amidst the bustling noise and activity of the market. Without hesitation, the king instructed his soldiers to promptly bring the saint to him.

With quick efficiency, the soldiers bound the sant with ropes, lifted him up, and escorted him to the king’s presence.

The king was dismayed by the sant’s condition and felt compassion for him. He questioned his soldiers, asking why they had employed such a harsh method to bring the sant before him.

The soldiers explained to the king that it was the quickest method available to swiftly transport the sant to the palace.

The king observed that despite the ordeal, the sant wore a serene smile, showing no signs of pain or anger. The king was genuinely astonished by the sant’s demeanor, as he remained unaffected, unconcerned, and unruffled by the events that transpired.

The sant inquired of the king the reason for his summons. The king, expressing regret for the improper manner of his arrival, sought forgiveness. However, the sant reassured the king, stating he was unaffected by the circumstances of his arrival and reiterated his question. The king confessed his longing to meet God, sharing his eagerness with the sant and seeking guidance on the quickest and most appropriate way to commune with the divine..
The sant assured the king that calling upon God was a straightforward endeavor, implying that the king already possessed the knowledge to do so, as it was not a complex task.

he king responded that he was unsure how to call upon God. In response, the sant immediately pointed out that the same way the king had summoned him could also be applied to calling upon God. Once again, the sant queried the king about the urgency of his summons. The king explained that his longing to connect with the Lord had reached a fervent peak, overflowing with love and yearning. He felt an uncontrollable eagerness and sought the sant’s guidance, believing that as a holy man, he would know how to satisfy his urgent desire to call upon the Lord.

The sant firmly reiterated to the king that calling upon the Lord with the same intensity and love as he had called upon the sant was the way to do it, as it was the only way to fervently call upon someone in love.

In response, the king expressed his intention to call upon the Lord with profound love and reverence, but he questioned how the Lord would come and how he would recognize him.

The sant questioned the king on how he had recognized him. The king effortlessly recounted that amidst the bustling market, where people were engrossed in various activities like chatting, buying, and selling, the sant stood out as the only one who appeared carefree, unaffected, and completely absorbed in his own world. He walked joyfully and peacefully, untouched by the hustle and bustle around him, which made him unique and easily identifiable to the king.

The king explained that he had summoned the sant quickly because of the genuine joy and tranquility he exuded, untouched by the external environment.

In response, the sant advised the king that if he could also attain a state of being unbothered, unaffected, carefree, and joyful in his true self, while staying connected to the Lord, then whenever he called upon God, the divine presence would be with him..

Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb illuminated that meditation and the chanting of NAAM serve to anchor us, cleansing our thoughts, quieting the restlessness of our minds, enhancing our devotion, trust, and faith, and uniting us with the divine. It soothes the restless waves of our mind.

The more we engage in chanting NAAM, the more tranquil our minds become, reducing the likelihood of encountering inappropriate or unfortunate circumstances.

Saijan affirmed that even in the face of adversity or misfortune, the strength and bliss of Naam within us will guide us safely through such situations.
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Sahib shared a tale of a lady who encountered another woman while traveling with her son. Unfortunately, the woman they met was extremely abusive and offensive, hurling insults at the lady about her in-laws, husband, and parents. Despite the relentless verbal assault, the lady with her son remained composed and silent, refusing to engage. The abusive woman attempted to provoke a reaction but failed. Throughout the encounter, the abusive woman continued her rude and disrespectful behavior, yet the lady traveling with her son remained unaffected, smiling calmly without irritation.

Upon arriving home, the son, perplexed by his mother’s composed demeanor despite the abusive woman’s continuous insults toward their family, grandparents, husband, and other relatives throughout the journey, questioned her. He inquired why she remained quiet and unperturbed, and whether she felt any anger or embarrassment.

The lady instructed her son to take some rest, assuring him that she would address his question later, all while maintaining her calm smile.

After a while, she approached her son with soiled and unwashed clothes belonging to various family members, placing them in front of him and asking him to wear them. Shocked by his mother’s request to wear dirty and unwashed garments, the boy expressed his dismay, questioning why she would ask him to wear clothes that not only smelled bad but were also unclean. In response, the mother suggested that if he found the idea of wearing others’ dirty clothes unpleasant, then he should consider wearing his own unwashed attire.

Now thoroughly perplexed, the boy questioned his mother’s logic, wondering why he should wear both the foul-smelling clothes of others and his own unwashed garments. He emphasized that his current attire was clean and fresh, providing a sense of comfort and cleanliness even outside the house. The mother countered, asking what difference it made since the smelly clothes were also clothing he could wear. This response left the boy upset, as he asserted that his own clean clothes made him feel good and fresh compared to the dirty and odorous ones.

With a gentle smile, the mother lovingly clarified to her son that just as we wouldn’t willingly wear the foul-smelling and dirty clothes of others, nor our own unclean garments, similarly, we shouldn’t contaminate ourselves with the filthy and abusive words of others. Reacting or responding with similar language would only disturb our inner peace and allow the toxic words of others to affect us
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb tenderly conveyed that our innate nature is goodness, yet when we allow ourselves to be affected by hurtful, toxic, and hateful words from others, we tarnish our inner tranquility. Frequently, we accumulate anxiety, hatred, jealousy, depression, anger, and discontent by succumbing to the influence of gossip, or by comparing and judging ourselves against others.

However, if we remain vigilant and refuse to be swayed by the negativity of others, we can attain peace. Engaging in the chanting of Naam, meditation, and Simran safeguards us from being disturbed by external anxiety, discomfort, and agitation.

Through meditation, the recitation of sacred Naam, and Simran, we learn how to maintain our composure in any circumstance. These practices also instruct us on converting negativity into positivity and transmuting evil into righteousness.

Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Sahib recounted an incident from the life of Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib. He described how a man approached Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib, expressing concern about a young boy in his household. The man explained that the boy exhibited abusive behavior, frequently speaking ill of others, instigating fights without cause, using toxic language, and harboring constant anger. Despite the family’s efforts to reform him, the boy remained unresponsive. The man implored Sai Satramdas Sahib to bestow blessings upon the boy, hoping for a transformation that would lead him to abandon his negative traits and embrace goodness.

The man proposed to Sai Satramdas Sahib that if he gave permission, they could bring the boy to him so that Saijan could bless him by placing his sacred hands on the boy’s head. Sai Satramdas Sahib promptly consented and instructed them to bring the boy to him.
These individuals visited the shop of the boy and informed him that they had discussed him with Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib, and Saijan had asked him to come and meet him. At that moment, the boy was busy cleaning his shop with a cloth. Upon hearing their words, the boy became enraged, assuming that they must have spoken negatively about him and complained to Sai. He expressed frustration that he had been contemplating going to Sai to seek his blessings through his holy presence, and now his impression had been tarnished before Saijan by their actions. In his anger, the boy threw the cloth at them.

Distressed by the boy’s reaction, these individuals returned to Shahanshah Sai Satramdas Saheb and recounted the incident, showing him the cloth that the boy had thrown at them in anger. Shahanshah Satguru smiled and remarked on the boy’s gesture, noting that it was kind of him to send the cloth to them instead of retaining it. Saijan instructed the individuals to thoroughly wash the cloth in the tap water nearby, which was situated just across from where Shahanshah Sai was seated.
The cloth used for cleaning the shop was heavily soiled, and as it was washed, a significant amount of dirt began to emerge, gradually restoring its cleanliness and freshness. Meanwhile, the boy who had thrown the cloth appeared.

Approaching Saijan’s revered feet, he expressed his intention to seek Saijan’s blessings, but recounted how he had become upset when informed about Saijan’s summons by those individuals. Believing they had spoken ill of him, he felt ashamed at the thought of facing Saijan after being slandered. In a fit of anger, he had thrown the cloth at them. Regretful of his actions, he offered his sincere apologies for his behavior.

Shahanshah Satguru smiled warmly and gently placed his hand on the boy’s head. He explained to him that his anger, improper behavior, and negative traits had tarnished his character, and the cloth he had thrown at those people symbolically carried all those flaws. Thus, he instructed those people to cleanse it thoroughly, signifying the purification of the boy’s imperfections and negativity. As a result, the boy’s heart had become pure, leading him to seek blessings. Touched by Shahanshah Satguru’s words, the boy prostrated himself at Saijan’s lotus feet, seeking forgiveness. He earnestly requested Sai’s blessing to safeguard his mind from future contamination by impurities and negativity, just as his sins had been washed away.

The boy received the sacred Naam from Shahanshah Satguru, and as a result, underwent a profound transformation, becoming a virtuous individual. He spent the remainder of his life living righteously..

Saijan emphasized that whenever we find ourselves overwhelmed by feelings of jealousy, guilt, anxiety, or restlessness, experiencing a sense of being lost or possessing an impure mind filled with anger and negative thoughts, we should promptly turn to Sai in prayer. We should seek Sai’s blessings to remove our shortcomings and impurities. Furthermore, if someone in our household has veered off the right path and fallen into bad habits or a negative environment, we should cleanse their garments while reciting Sai’s sacred name and chanting his Divine Naam. By doing so, we will witness the transformation of that individual into a virtuous human being, and all their impurities will dissolve away.
The recitation of the Sacred Naam purifies our tainted mind. Just as soap cleanses a soiled cloth, chanting the Naam purges our mind of wrong thoughts, negative actions, harmful habits, improper lifestyle choices, jealousy, and other impurities. Chanting the Naam eradicates our past karmas and aids us in attaining Parmatma.
In this world, a child is born first, and then is given a name. After birth, as the child grows, the weaving of their karmic web begins. Every action, whether good or bad, expressions of love or hatred, acts of respect or disrespect, begins to accumulate and revolve around that individual throughout their life.

As we embark on our journey back to our true origin, our ultimate abode with Parmatma, Naam serves as our guide. We traverse this path back to our original destination, following the guidance of Naam.
During our journey back to our origin, continuous chanting of the sacred Naam serves to clear our path, eliminating the accumulated karmic debts. This ensures our journey is unburdened, undisturbed, guilt-free, clean, smooth, and perfectly clear. Once our path is completely clarified, we attain the divine vision of our Satguru and merge with them.

Typically, when we receive something after asking or pleading for it, we experience immediate satisfaction. However, upon receiving the sacred Naam, our thirst for wisdom grows, compelling us to continue chanting in hopes of attaining eternal bliss.
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Sahib stressed the importance of making our life journey meaningful by continuously chanting the sacred Naam with every breath, every moment, every day.
