Once, a famine struck the region of Tharparkar, causing the Thari people to migrate to Barani and other nearby areas near Raharki Sahib, leaving everything behind.
During the time of famine, King of Kings, Sai Satramdas Sahib, passed by a place where the Tharis had taken refuge. They all approached him seeking his blessings. Saijan asked about Bhai Govind Ram, who was also with them, and said that he wanted to bring him to Raharki Sahib. The Thari people replied, “Saijan, no one goes near him, not even his belongings are kept close to others. How will you take him with you?” Saijan smiled and said, “Bhai Govindram always remembers me, so today I will take him to Raharki Sahib”.Bhai Govindram, who was in a pitiful state, was brought before Shahanshah Sai Satramdas Sahib. The smell of his body was unpleasant, and his wounds were filled with worms. However, as soon as Shahanshah Sai Satramdas Sahib placed his hand on Bhai Govindram’s head to bestow his blessings, all his leprosy was miraculously cured, and his hardships and agony came to an end. Bhai Govindram was transformed into a healthy and rejuvenated person.
Following this miraculous transformation, Bhai Govindram remained with Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas for the rest of his life. He was known for his spiritual devotion, often meditating while standing on one foot for consecutive three days. Today, Bhai Govindram’s memorial, or samadhi, rests alongside Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib’s samadhi at Vadi Devri Sahib.
