Teckchand, who grew up in Raharki Sahib and worked as a headmaster at a school, faced the challenge of not having a male heir. Whenever his wife gave birth to a male child, the child would pass away soon after. In hopes of finding a solution, Teckchand visited Devri Sahib and prayed to the great Sants there to pray for him to be blessed with a son.
Sants assured him that soon he would be blessed with a son, who would bear a mole on his shoulder as a sign of the Shahanshah Satguru’s blessing. They also instructed Tekchand to make his son serve at Devri Sahib when he grew up. A year later, Tekchand was blessed with a son who bore the mole on his shoulder as predicted. Tekchand named his son Bhikchand, which means “begging” in Sindhi, as he believed it was a fitting name for a child blessed by the great Sants of Raharki Sahib. Bhikchand grew up to be a sincere and selfless devotee at Devri Sahib, living a happy and successful life. The Sants of Raharki Sahib are known to fulfil the earnest desires of those who seek their blessings.
