During a gathering in Sukkur, thousands of people gathered to catch a glimpse of Mahatma Gandhi. The commotion made it difficult for Gandhi to deliver his speech. Someone on the stage who knew the power of Sant Kanwarram Sahib’s voice requested him to do something. Bhagat Sahib rose to the occasion and began to sing a beautiful Aalap in his magnificent voice. The audience was spellbound, and there was complete silence. Mahatma Gandhi was then able to deliver his speech without any disturbance.
Mr. Khemchand Jethwani was a devoted follower of Kanwarram Sahib. Unfortunately, when Kanwarram Sahib was tragically shot dead by some individuals, Mr. Jethwani was away in Ceylon. Upon hearing the news of his beloved Guruji’s passing, he rushed back to Rahadki Sahib, but arrived after Kanwarram Sahib’s funeral had already taken place. The shock of this news caused Mr. Jethwani to fall gravely ill, and despite medical treatment, he did not improve. However, it was suggested that some of Saint Kanwarram Sahib’s belongings be placed on his chest. With the grace of Sai, SAnt Kanwarram Sahib’s blood-stained dress and shoes were placed on Mr. Jethwani’s chest, and miraculously, he recovered and became well again.
Regularly, Bhagat Sahib wrote letters to late Shri Jethwani in Gurmukhi.
May the son and daughter-in-law of late Mr. Khemchand Jethwani, Mrs. & Mr. Radhakishen Jethwani, be blessed by God for their respectful preservation of the handwritten letters of Amar Shahid Sant Kanwarram Sahib.
