In one of his profound and inspiring Satsangs, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb spoke about the transformative power of contentment.

Saijan addressed young couples, emphasising that in today’s times, they are granted the freedom to understand one another thoroughly before deciding to marry. With this liberty comes the responsibility to navigate all challenges sensibly after marriage. Saijan encouraged the couples to cultivate complete trust in each other, avoiding doubts, as mistrust and suspicion often lead to broken or unhappy marriages. He highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and uplifting one another as essential for building a harmonious and peaceful life together.

Marriages thrive on complete trust, mutual understanding, tolerance, and patience between partners.

Saijan shared a story about a king who, while passing a construction site, observed a laborer on the ground floor tossing bricks one by one to another worker on the second floor. The king noticed that the worker on the second floor skillfully caught each brick without missing a single one.

The sight left the king amazed at the seamless synchronization and coordination between the workers on the ground floor and the second floor. Curious, the king asked his minister how such perfect harmony was possible. He also wondered how the worker on the ground floor managed to toss each brick so precisely and without any delay toward the second floor.

The minister explained to the king that the worker was genuinely happy and content in his life. He added that when people are satisfied and at peace, their efficiency and quality of work naturally excel.

The king requested the minister to substantiate his claim. In response, the minister asked for some time to provide evidence for his point.

A few days later, the king and his minister returned to the same site. This time, the king observed that the worker on the ground floor, who had previously thrown bricks accurately to the second-floor worker, was now making frequent mistakes and missing his target. The worker on the second floor appeared frustrated with the ground-floor worker’s inefficiency.

The king asked the minister about the reason behind the worker’s inefficiency this time. The minister explained that the decline in the worker’s performance was due to his lack of contentment and inner disturbance.

The king was astonished by the minister’s response. The minister explained that he wanted to demonstrate to the king that when a person is at peace and content, their work is naturally flawless. However, if a person is unhappy and their mind is disturbed, they struggle to focus, leading to a loss of concentration and efficiency.

When the king asked the minister about the reason for the worker’s inefficiency, the minister shared that he had inquired about the worker’s personal life. He discovered that the worker had a very happy family. Each day, the worker left home with a smile, carrying food prepared by his loving wife, who also cared for their children. In the evenings, when the worker returned, they would all eat together and enjoy quality time. Whenever the worker received his wages, he would give them to his family. They all trusted each other and lived a contented life.

The minister also revealed that he had sent a woman to the worker’s house with the intention of influencing his wife. He explained that the woman befriended the worker’s wife, telling her lies about her husband and encouraging her to distrust him. The woman suggested that the wife should question her husband’s truthfulness about his whereabouts.

The minister told the king that, as a result of the woman’s instigation, the worker and his wife began to argue regularly. This turmoil disturbed the worker’s peace of mind, which, in turn, led to his loss of focus and efficiency at work.

Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb enlightened the newlyweds, as well as other young girls and boys, by explaining that when our intentions and character are pure, and we trust one another, we remain content, at peace, and capable of nurturing our relationships. This foundation enables married life to flourish beautifully. He advised couples never to be provoked by others, to disregard those who attempt to sow misunderstandings between them, and to maintain complete trust in each other.
Always strive to stay calm, think positively, and preserve peace by avoiding conflicts.
