In one of his deeply moving satsangs, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb beautifully emphasized the importance of maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
We should never live in a state of figurative nakedness. This doesn’t refer to a lack of clothing but to a lack of shame—behaving in ways that insult, disregard, or humiliate others while holding an inflated opinion of oneself. Instead, we should always wrap ourselves in the virtues of integrity, righteousness, humility, and purity.
Saijan emphasized that we must lead our lives with care and conscious awareness. To do so, we need to uphold discipline and live within boundaries guided by principles. It is essential to stay mindful of our limits in various aspects of life, including our behavior, relationships, integrity, discipline, and the consumption of natural resources.
When we live within boundaries and uphold principles, we avoid mistakes and preserve our dignity and purity. However, when we exceed these limits or compromise our principles, we ultimately bring about our own downfall.
For instance, Mata Sita remained safe and protected within the boundary of the Laxman Rekha. However, the moment she stepped beyond it, she was abducted.
Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb emphasized that crossing the boundaries of humanity can lead to our own destruction.
We humans often judge others and remind them of their limits, yet we fail to uphold our own. When we cross the boundaries of discipline, we tend to blame others, forgetting that it was our own mistake. For instance, we criticize Ravan for abducting Mata Sita, but we overlook the fact that she crossed the Laxman Rekha. Ravan would not have dared to harm her if the boundary of Laxman Rekha had not been crossed by Mata Sita.
We lose our respect only when we step beyond our boundaries of discipline. Therefore, stay mindful of your freedom and uphold the discipline of humanity.
