In one of his soul-stirring Satsangs, Hazir Swaroop Sai Sadhram Saheb beautifully emphasized the importance of self-awareness. He shared profound wisdom, urging us to always keep our focus on ourselves. Saijan explained that many of us have become like locks without our own keys, relying on others to open or close us. This means we are easily influenced by others, failing to introspect or use our own judgment before forming conclusions. Trusting what others say without discernment often leads us to negative actions and bad karma.

Saijan highlighted that we must hold onto our own keys, use our minds, and not allow others to dictate our thoughts or actions. To illustrate this, he shared a story about a wise, honest, and alert man.

One day, this man’s close friend approached him, eager to share what another friend had said about him. The man stopped him and asked, “Will telling me this benefit the friend you’re speaking about?” The friend replied that it wouldn’t, as he was about to reveal something bad that the other friend had said, hoping to make the man think less of him.

The man then questioned further, “Will this benefit me in any way?” His friend admitted that it wouldn’t and even acknowledged that sharing this might result in anger or resentment from the person being discussed.

Finally, the man asked, “Will this benefit you, the one telling me this?” The friend confessed that he wouldn’t gain anything either.

The man then concluded, “If your words neither benefit the person you’re speaking about, nor me, nor you, then why waste our time and energy on such discussions? Instead, let’s use this time to talk about something meaningful.”

Saijan used this story to teach that when we focus on self-awareness, we avoid unnecessary and harmful conversations. Instead, we discuss topics that bring positivity and prosperity to our homes, society, nation, and the world. Upon reflection, most of our differences are minor and do not warrant conflict. Gossiping or speaking ill of others serves no purpose—it only creates problems.

Saijan encouraged us to listen to and share positive thoughts. By doing so, we not only benefit individually but also transform the world into a haven of prosperity and happiness. The essence of Satsang lies in speaking thoughtfully and listening to uplifting words, which enrich our lives and bring contentment.

Saijan further explained that all our shortcomings can be eradicated by keeping a conscious watch on ourselves. Inner agitation diminishes when we chant the sacred Naam of our Satguru with every breath. This practice purifies both our inner self and the world around us.

When we are at peace within and in harmony with our surroundings, our fate flourishes, and we experience true joy. By embracing this path, we ensure happiness both in this life and beyond, creating a blissful existence in both worlds.
