Bhai Aayal Mal was a retailer of pure ghee. One day, he visited Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib seeking blessings and was accepted as a disciple by the great saint. Upon returning to his shop, Bhai Aayal Mal was inspired by his guru’s truthfulness and decided to adopt the same principle in his life. He ceased to mix his ghee with impurities and instead sold only pure ghee, even if it meant having to increase the price.
Bhai Aayal Mal faced a setback when people started avoiding his retail shop for pure ghee, as they could find cheaper rates for the same product at other shops. He was faced with a dilemma as he was torn between his desire to remain truthful and his need to keep his business afloat. Despite these challenges, Ayal Mal was determined not to compromise the quality of his ghee by mixing it with inferior ingredients. He was steadfast in his belief that honesty towards his customers was more important than making a profit.Aayal Mal, in an attempt to seek guidance, began reciting the name of Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satram das Sahib. As he did so, a thought came to him that resolved all his doubts. From that day on, he decided to sell ghee in his shop at three different prices, corresponding to the three different qualities of ghee he kept. When customers asked why there were different prices for ghee, Bhai Aayal Mal explained that the rates varied based on the quality of the ghee and that each tin held a different grade of ghee.”
“People soon realized Aayal Mal’s integrity and began to buy ghee from his shop. His reputation as an honest ghee dealer spread far and wide, and with the blessings of Shahanshah Satguru Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib, people were even willing to wait in line to purchase ghee from him.
