During the anniversary of Sai Wasanshah Sahib in Rohri, Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib encountered a devotee named Moolchand, who informed him that a relative named Lahorimal had obtained a decree against him. This was a common practice during British rule, where individuals who borrowed money were required to provide a written transfer of possession of their property as collateral. In the event of non-compliance, a court document known as a decree was issued. Moolchand informed Saijan that only six months remained for the repayment.
Moolchand informed Shahanshah Satguru Sant sai Satramdas sahib that he and his family only had their house left, which would have to be given to Lahorimal. This house was the only shelter for them. Moolchand requested Saijan to tell Lahorimal to withdraw the decree. After hearing Moolchand’s request, Sant Satramdas Sahib approached Lahorimal and asked him to withdraw the decree against Moolchand. However, Lahorimal was not willing to cooperate. Sant Satramdas Sahib told Lahorimal that Moolchand was seeking his help in the name of God, and he was there to make this request on Moolchand’s behalf. The decision was now in Lahorimal’s hands. Upon returning from Lahorimal, Sant Satramdas Sahib reassured Moolchand to have faith in God and in His justice.
Within a few days, Lahorimal fell ill and passed away. After his body was bathed (a tradition), it was laid on a cot for the funeral. Suddenly, the door opened, and to the surprise of everyone present, Lahorimal appeared, dressed in white for his final journey. He explained that his soul had already left his body, but when he reached the entrance of heaven, the Angel at the heaven informed him that his many blessings were wasted because he did not obey Sant Satramdas Sahib, who had left his house unsatisfied. As a result, Lahorimal would have no place in either heaven or hell. He asked the Angel for some time to correct his mistake, and the Angel agreed, allowing him to return to withdraw the decree against Moolchand.
Moolchand, who was seated nearby, witnessed as Lahorimal signed the document to withdraw the decree against him. Lahorimal acknowledged that this was not his doing but a blessing from Sant Satramdas Sahib, the Master of the universe. After making this statement, Lahorimal departed for his journey to the afterlife.
