On an auspicious day in the early 19th century, during spring, birds were joyfully twittering, chirping, and singing. A cool breeze carried a sense of happiness and comfort, while cuckoos, in their sweet melodious voices, sang in devotion to the Master of their beautiful surroundings. Every small creature reveled in spiritual peace. Suddenly, a lovely fragrance spread through the air, filling all living beings with deep tranquility. The entire atmosphere became ethereal—stunning, exotic, heavenly, and beyond this world.
This was a sign of an impending miracle. Every particle in the universe glowed with the light of divine joy, for this was the sacred moment when the highly revered Aad Satguru, the great Master, the great Sant—Sant Sai Khotaram Sahib—was born.
The child was quiet and calm, making none of the usual babbling sounds of a newborn. Instead, this little angel was chanting the divine Shabd, ‘OM, OM.’ Everyone present at that moment witnessed the miracle in awe, as they had never heard such a sweet, godly, and melodious voice before.

During his childhood, while other children played, this godly child would become engrossed in thoughts of his Master. He would sit in a quiet place, deeply absorbed in meditation. God had blessed him with a melodious voice—pure and divine. His pious heart overflowed with divine love and pure joy.
Those who listened to his pleasing and captivating voice felt a deep longing to attain divinity. The magnificent voice that flowed from his kind and divine heart brought calmness not only to humans but to every living being.
This is why, whenever he sang a raga with his followers, birds and other small creatures would gather around him, sitting quietly and listening. His name spread to every corner of the world, and many people became his students, learning under his guidance. Delegations from different cities began arriving to seek his blessings. Whenever he traveled, he carried his own food and necessities, always advising those accompanying him not to become a burden on anyone.

Aad Satguru Sai Khotaram Sahib would say that one must earn an honest living through hard work. Though always engrossed in chanting the name of his Master, he ensured that his disciples remained disciplined on the spiritual path by making them chant the Divine Name of God Almighty at the scheduled time.
Even while traveling through deserted places, he would take time for bhakti and meditation.

As Sai’s melodious voice filled the air, birds, insects, and reptiles would gather around Aad Satguru Sai Khotaram Sahib. Snakes would coil around tree branches, raising their heads to listen to Saijan’s mellifluous voice. The surrounding land would be filled with small insects, local people, and other animals, all drawn to the divine bhakti. As soon as the bhakti ended, they would peacefully return to their paths.

In such a sacred atmosphere, lions did not see goats as prey, nor did snakes search for bird nests to steal eggs. With the blessings of Aad Satguru Sai Khotaram Sahib, all beings perceived the presence of God in one another..

Sacho Satram.
