Autumn had begun, and the warm winds were taking a toll on the trees. As the trees shed their leaves, bird nests became exposed to the heat, causing discomfort to the tiny chicks. Reptiles and other small creatures sought refuge underground.
One evening, Bhai Nebhaumal and his son, Bhai Veerumal—the great-grandfather and grandfather, respectively, of Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib—were deeply absorbed in prayers for the peace of all living beings. As they prayed, they experienced a cool, blissful breeze and beheld a radiant spiritual light before them. During their prayers, they were visited by celestial beings who conveyed that their prayers had been heard and accepted by Parmatma. They revealed that a revered Sant, sent by Parmatma, would soon be born in human form to guide humanity toward divine unity.The angels proclaimed that this Sant would live like any other mortal yet spread divine wisdom about the significance of the human form and bestow blessings upon humanity. After delivering this message to Bhai Nebhaumal and Bhai Veerumal, the angels disappeared.
